Intruder Alert :Spiritual Pride

Pride has sneaked into our ranks
Disguised, it freely plays dangerous pranks
Whittling off humility, inch by inch
Until it is reduced to a mere pinch

Name calling directed at those accused of falling
Our words drip with scorn and contempt
At those whose doctrines we see as untidy and unkempt
We shut the door of grace to those labeled
As beyond redemption and rebels

Let us quit casting out from salvation's boat
For the sinking needs help to stay afloat
Mercy triumphs over judgment
Even so Grace over law's torment

Let our spirit be intercessory
Like Abraham our father,
Who was concerned for Lot, the son of his brother

Moses stood in the breach
While mediating, God’s pardon he did beseech
Joseph was raised to preserve lives
Along this course we must also drive

If we be not our brother's keeper
Before long, like Cain, we become our brother's killer

There can only be one judge
So let us discard every grudge
Flinging open our arms in love

The glory of our light is only evident and seen
Because their error provides a contrasting scene

Let's work to save,
So we can depopulate Hell and the grave

Notice the pyramid
Love sits atop its hierarchy
Not faith, knowledge or brotherly kindness
But Love that corrects the blindness

Pride builds a wall of separation
But humility bridges, fostering co-operation
Pride Glories in self
While humility is down to earth

I say we excommunicate this pride
Replacing it with love that stretches wide
If we all agree with one mind
Heavens co-operation we are guaranteed to find!
